Jeremy Finlayson

Jeremy Finlayson was drafted with pick 85 from the Giant’s academy in 2014. After being named NEAFL player of the year in 2016 by the Giants, he has established himself across half back with his silky skills and ability to read the play.

Jeremy Cameron

One of the GWS underage selections in 2010, Jeremey Cameron is one of the premier elite forwards in the AFL. He was an AFL Rising Star nominee in 2012 and an All Australian in 2013 and 2015.  Jeremy was a Kevin Sheedy Medallist in 2013 and won the GIANTS Mark of the Year and the GIANTS Goal of the Year in 2012 and 2015 respectively. At the conclusion of the 2020 AFL season, Cameron requested a trade back to Victoria where he will finish his career at the Geelong Football Club.

Isaac Cumming

Isaac Cumming began his AFL career in the GIANTS Academy, making his NEAFL debut for them in 2017 and winning the NEAFL Development Award that same year. An elite ball user with strong acceleration and pace, he is one of the Giant’s most exciting prospects.

 

 

Harry Himmelberg

Harry Himmelberg is a Giant’s Academy graduate, being drafted to GWS Football Club as a first round draft pick in 2015. Playing at both ends of the ground, Himmelberg emerged as one of the Giant’s most exciting prospects in 2017.

Matt Kennedy

Matt Kennedy is a GWS Giant’s Academy graduate currently playing for the Carlton Football Club. Drafted with pick 13 in the 2015 National Draft by the Giant’s, the hard-nosed midfielder moved to Carlton in 2018. The ability to play multiple positions will hold Kennedy in good stead, with his physicality, pressure and ball-winning meaning he’ll be able to support the Blues’ inside midfield stocks. 

Harry Mckay

Harry McKay was recruited from Gippsland Power with pick 10 in the 2015 National Draft. An athletic key forward, McKay is a powerful mark and beautiful kick. 2019 was a significant year for the key forward, who ticked off 20 senior appearances. With more experience at the elite level, the sky is the limit for the high-flying forward.

Josh Walker

Josh Walker is a key forward for the North Melbourne football club. Picked up by the Geelong Cats in the 2011 Rookie Draft, Walker has continued to be a presence in the forward line throughout his career with his strong mark and work rate.

Hugh McCluggage

Hugh McCluggage is a talented midfielder for the Brisbane Lions taken with pick 3 in the 2016 National Draft. An elite ball-winner with silky foot skills, he made his AFL debut in 2017 against St Kilda and earned a Rising Star nomination in round 14. One of the game’s best young talents, McCluggage is a future leader both on and off the field. In just his third year in the AFL, McCluggage finished third in the Brisbane Lions Best and Fairest, taking home the Alastair Lynch Trophy. He was also named in the AFLPA’s 22under22 team along with earning a spot in the All-Australian 40-man squad.

Rory Sloane

Rory Sloane is a hard-nosed midfielder for the Adelaide Crows. Taken with pick 44 in the 2008 National Draft, Sloane is ranked amongst the AFL’s elite. A dual club champion, showdown medallist, AFLPA Most Courageous Player, he also vice captained the AFL All Australian team in 2016. The accolades continued to come for the selfless player in 2017, when he was voted AFLPA Most Courageous Player and received an All Australian nomination. In 2019, Sloane was appointed co-captain and produced an impressive campaign on the way to a second-place finish in the best and fairest. Off field, Sloane and wife Belinda have welcomed baby boy Sonny Leo. In 2020, Sloane has been named sole captain for The Crows.

Matt Crouch

Matt Crouch is a midfielder for the Adelaide Football Club. In 2017, he was selected in the All-Australian team and nominated for the AFL Players Association MVP Award. He was also named The Age’s Player of the Year and won Adelaide’s best and fairest, the Malcolm Blight Medal. In 2019, Crouch had career-best 47 disposals against Western Bulldogs in Round 23, topping his former best of 46. No Crow player has averaged more disposals.
